French Montana Performs Moroccan-Flavored ‘Famous’ on ‘Fallon,’ Debuts Music Video
After making the whole world dance with his ubiquitous 2017 summer hit “Unforgettable” with Swae Lee, French Montana is back on the solo tip and is ready to get the world dancing again, with his latest single “Famous” off his album Jungle Rules.
French debuted the track live during his performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (Jan. 17) and brought his Moroccan flavor to the stage. French’s Moroccan roots were peppered throughout his latest album Jungle Rules, and just as he brought Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids from the “Unforgettable” video to perform onstage with him at the 2017 BET Awards, French invited a few belly dancers and soccer players to accompany him to The Tonight Show.
Taking the stage in a black, floral embroidered shirt, French grooved to the hip-swaying, Caribbean-inspired beat, as the dancers and soccer players took turns showcasing their talents in front of the studio crowd.
In tandem with his performance, the rapper unveiled the accompanying video for “Famous,” where he traveled back to his homeland of Morocco to soak in the culture and scenery. In the video, French toured the beautiful, sun-kissed city and visited his grandmother’s grave. As the sun set, he made his way to a local party where he was dressed in traditional garments and danced alongside Moroccan musicians and dancers.
